What exactly does CustomCrete do?
CustomCrete is a full-service Commercial and Industrial flooring installation company. We specialize in placing our flooring systems on Concrete in food plants, manufacturing facilities, new construction build-outs, and warehouses.
Our Process
Can you do your floors over a wood subfloor?
We advise against this almost every time as it tends to be a liability. Wood typically has more flex than an epoxy or Urethane Cement which can cause premature delamination. We will recommend other flooring to the end user which is typically known as a sheet good.
How do I take care of my new floor?
CustomCrete operates on a turn-key approach – When we are complete with your project, we will provide you with further procedures on keeping your new floors functional for years to come. We will provide you with resources on cleaning products and machines when the job is done.
How do you prep the surface?
Every service we provide in terms of new installation of a flooring system will require the use of mechanical prep machines (Floor Grinders, Shot Blasters, Milling machines, etc.) This is the only way proven to prepare the concrete for our industrial strength coatings and polishing systems.
How long will it take to complete your work?
This answer is completely specific to the system we are installing. On average our work typically takes around a full week to complete. Depending on the system, we can always work together to accommodate other trades, and staff, in our areas with proper coordination.
I have tile or carpet down, can you remove that prior to your work?
Along with being a flooring installation company, demoing existing flooring is one of our offered services. prior to installing our floor systems we will remove the existing material.
Is your process loud, stinky, dusty?
This depends on the system being installed as well as other job factors. Complaints of loud noise typically stem from our crews working overhead in an office complex. Other noise complaints in the past have been from small hand grinders running along the walls of an adjoining business. Odors or fumes commonly come from epoxy installations but are easily cleared with ventilation. Our products are VOC compliant to be safe, BUT that doesn’t always stop complaints from some members of the client workforce. We do our best to vent the space as each situation presents its own circumstance. Dust is controlled by our attachment to HEPA filtration vacuums. This catches most dust, but our process is not considered "dustless".
